We started Carter Steed service in 1999, although James and I have both been involved with horses all our lives. We just got crazy enough to start a business of it. It's more than just a business to us though. We love to see the different mix of horse you get and like to find ways to improve upon it. We believe we have the right stallion mix to breed with mares that will produce an althetic, muscular colt with a great disposition.

We currently own two stallions that include the great breeding lines of Hancock, Blue Valentine, Plenty Try, Skipper W, Poco Bueno, Clabber, Driftwood, Peter McCue, and Red Man. We believe we have found the right combination of speed mixed with the correct breeding line to have an athletic and friendly horse that you can do anything on. The color you get is the icing on the cake!
